All
agricultural activities are focused on cattle breeding.
There are grazing pastures on the estate, and barley,
oats and wheat are grown.
These cereals are then threshed and the seeds ensiled in silos
near to the cattle sheds where they are milled daily to produce
flour used to integrate normal hay rations.
On the estate there is also a small olive grove, the
harvest from kept just for family use, and almost a hectare
of grapevines. The grapes are not vinified on the estate and
are sold only when the production and quality from season to
season merits their sale to wine producers in the area.
All the agricultural activities take place with the use
of modern machinery, and recently the entire range has been
renewed with the aim of safeguarding the environment by trying
to reduce waste to a minimum and optimising the use of energy,
water and fuels.
